Brian Williams & Mike Mullen: "Politicizing the raid on Bin Laden compound" - Obama, Iraq, funding the troops

Admiral Mike Mullen, the former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, sat down for an interview with Brian Williams earlier this week. Mullen expressed concern that the raid on Osama Bin Laden's compound was being politicized in the midst of the current Presidential election season.

"I do worry a great deal that this time of year that somehow this gets spun into election politics," Mullen told Williams. "I can assure you that those individuals who risked their lives, the last thing in the world that they want is to be spun into that. So I'm hoping that that doesn't happen."

Of course, when it comes to the politicization of foreign policy, and sacrificing the well-being of our troops, Obama is King. During the 2008 Presidential primary season, then-Senator Joe Biden criticized Barack Obama for voting against funding the troops in Iraq, and sacrificing the well-being of our troops - for political gain.
