Flashback - Obama: I will veto any effort to get rid of sequestration!

During a press briefing earlier this month, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney conceded what others have already confirmed, namely that the budget sequestration mechanism - an automatic trigger which facilitates a series of devastating cuts in domestic and military spending if the White House and congress fail to reach an agreement on a deficit reduction plan by [tomorrow] March 1 - was conceived and crafted by the White House.

What's more, President Obama consistently rebuffed the desperate pleas of Republicans lawmakers who repeatedly begged him to do away with his reckless sequestration scheme.

Moreover, during a press briefing in 2011, President Obama stated that he would veto any effort on the part of congressional lawmakers to rescind his sequestration mandate.

"Already, some in Congress are trying to undo these automatic spending cuts," the President said. "My message to them is simple: 'No! I will veto any effort to get rid of those automatic spending cuts to domestic and defense spending! There will be no easy off ramps on this one! We need to keep the pressure up...' "

Sadly, in a mere few hours from now, the President's sequestration mandate will likely go into effect; sequestration is the President's creation, it's his baby - and this is one baby that he will not allow to be aborted.

In closing, I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the President on the birth of his new baby!

Congratulations, Mr. President!

Sequester is an incredibly adorable baby; the spitting image of his/her father!
